Cinnamon-Apple Pork Chops

This easy delicious recipe will quickly become a family favourite. The ingredients are easy to keep on hand, and it's great in any weather because it comes together quickly, without turning on the oven. One-pan cleanup is a bonus!

Serves 4 | Ready in just 25 minutes! 

Ingredients:

4 pork chops (4 ounces each)
2 tbsp reduced-fat butter, divided 
3 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground nutmeg
4 medium tart apples, thinly sliced
2 tbsp chopped pecans

Directions:

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook pork chops in 1 tablespoon butter for 4-5 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer reads 160°. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2. Remove chops and keep warm. Add the apples, pecans, brown sugar mixture and remaining butter to the pan; cook and stir until apples are tender. Serve with chops. 

We recommend pairing with a salad or choice of steamed vegetables to complete this delicious meal.
